The Carotid Doppler ultrasound test is an imaging examination performed by Dr. Kohani used to examine the carotid artery in the neck. The purpose of this test is to illustrate a possible blockage or show narrowing of the arteries due to coronary artery disease.
How it works?
Using an ultrasound probe device, placed along the patient’s neck, Dr. Kohani sends a high-frequency sound wave into the neck. This illuminates the arteries inside the neck, creating digital imaging in order to view and analyze the speed, force, and direction of blood flow.
